Yes, I know I haven't posted in ages. I'm sorry. I'm super busy (and yes, I know, that's no excuse).

So first off, I don't think I really did a post-Christmas blog post, so here's a brief one.
Christmas was great. I loved seeing my grandparents on Christmas day, and eating a delicious Christmas breakfast and then dinner. For Christmas I got a cell phone (which I love), an iPod (yay!), a few board games, and lots of gift cards. It was awesome.
During the Christmas holidays, I visited with my cousins. There is lots of snow where they live, and we went tobogganing which was so fun. I was so happy when we finally got some snow here!

I made the basketball team! My dad and friend Miranda are coaching the team, along with a teacher from our school. So far we have played four games and won four games. That's right, we're undefeated.

So yeah, I guess that's what's up.

Christmas Break!

I realize I've done a few posts about Christmas already, but i just had to write another one.

So far for the holidays, I've already gone Christmas shopping, visited my cousins, had school Christmas dance, had two or three Christmas parties, and had our annual Christmas Baking Day.

I've also done quite a few gift exchanges, and wrapped quite a few gifts. My other plans for the upcoming holidays are too just relax, open presents, visit with family, and go to lots of Christmas church services.

This month I have been writing a novel! There is a website that helps you to set goals, and work towards writing a specific number of words before the end of November. On the adult website: http://www.nanowrimo.org

you get to set your own goal. My goal started as 25, 000, but since this is only my first year, I've learned that a goal like 15,000 is a tad easier. So yeah, I've been writing up a storm.

Ahh! Christmas is coming!

I feel like Christmas is coming so soon this year. The time is flying! I mean, it seems like just the other day was Halloween, and now it's nearly December! I've never noticed Christmas coming this close after Halloween.

Anyway, my family is getting full into the holiday spirit! We've already decorated and everything! I am so excited! Can't wait for Christmas shopping, and Christmas baking, and all of the other joys of the holidays.

I almost wish time would speed up some more!

If you couldn't read the title, it's a sad face / happy face.

Sad face because the leaves are falling! Yes, I know that happens every year at the same time, and why am I so surprised, but it's just sad. The autumn season and all of it's beauty is passing, and the cold winter and all of it's goosebumps are coming. I love fall, as I have said before, and this year I've really been able to experience its beauty. The changing of the leaves has reminded me that change is supposed to happen, and it is often a good thing.

Dude, that's deep.

Happy face because...well, I like happy faces! And I can look back at all of the good memories that I've had this past fall.

Just wanna say--my school had their Halloween dance today...and it was amazing! The decorations, the music, the dancing, the food, it was all so great! I had a blast at my first dance, it was so great. And to top it all off, my costume rocked!

I am loving the fall weather right now! Not too cold, not too hot...it's just right! I hope it stays warmish for Halloween so we don't have to wear coats over top of our Halloween costumes like in past years.

Also, I don't know why, but I've only just recently realized the beauty of this fall. I mean, I saw the trees changing colour, but the other day when I was throwing them and jumping in piles, and playing in the leaves, it just kinda made me notice how wonderful this season is. It's so fun! Fall is one of my favourite seasons, and I've had some great moments this autumn. Like leaf-fighting with my friends, throwing leaves up in the air and jumping in giant leaf piles...Just so much fun!

Halloween is going to be great! We're doing a dance and a costume contest and a few other fundraisers at school, and I am having a party on Halloween at my house. I am dressing up as a garbage can. I am so excited!

I've Been Thinking...

Who am I kidding, no I haven't!

But I do know that I need to update my blog. I have no idea what to write about, so I am going to write about...whatever.

Thanksgiving: Thanksgiving was good. Saturday we ate turkey dinner with some friends. It was super yummy! Turkey, stuffing, brussel sprouts, squash, poatoes...so good! Sunday was church and then visiting some friends. Today my fam is just chilling.

Halloween: Yes, it hasn't happened, but I'm planning ahead. I am going to be a trash can for Halloween, funny, right? I'm gonna put a plastic garbage can around my waste, and have messy hair and garbage all over me. Best costume ever!

Some things I've been in the pas tare: Elephant, Zebra, Witch (twice), princess, vampire, nerd, Nancy Drew, a Barbie doll. Feel free to steal a few of these costume ideas.

Summary of Summer-(y) (ha ha ha)

Going to my grandmother's house in Ithaca, New York was great! We played outside a lot: swam in blow up pool, played on her playground equipment, and much more. We played card games and board games, and ate some good food!

Now I am back to school! For the first week, it was hard to get back into routine. Also, I just started middle school, which means I have 6 or 7 classes a day, and it's very different. I didn't like the change at first, but I'm starting to like it more and more. I'm already in student council (running for secretary), Me-to-We (program to get kids helping in their community and making a difference in the world around them), and I'm learning lots! Ecosystems in Science, Multiplication in Math, Global Citizens in Langauge, and lots of Canadian history. Craziness!

Summer Update #3

I know I haven't posted in a while (thanks for reminding me, Natasha). Basically in the last couple of weeks, I went to camp and just hung out at home. I went to Ontario Pioneer Camp for a week and my brothers went to. It was so much fun to meet new people, learn new things, and just have a great time in the boiling hot sun. Okay, the boiling hot sun part wasn't that great, but whatever. Actually, on the first day, it even rained as we were bringing our things to our chalets (word for 'cabin'). After that, though, it was hot and sweaty. My three activities everyday were basketball, archery, and art. So much fun! We did batik in art, and in archery, I hit the board once! Ha ha ha. We also did meals, worship and bible study, wide games, and more. AMAZING!

After camp, I did pretty much a whole lot o' nothing. I sat around the house, eating, sleeping, and watching TV. On Monday of this week, I babysat in the morning, and then my family went swimming with some friends. Then on Tuesday, I helped a friend set up her classroom for school (she's a teacher), and then yesterday (Wednesday) I went out to Toronto to Dave and Busters with my nana and poppy and family, and then to McDonald's for ice cream. It was amazing! Now I'm going to my Grammy's house in Ithaca, New York until Monday!

Can't wait for school!

Update #2 (I think)

This past week, my family and some friends and I went to a cottage we rented 20 minutes north of Huntsville. It was really big and beautiful, two floors, nature, art, it was amazing. The water was a bit dirty, but it was worth it to cool off and hang out by the dock. Most of the weather was, well, not great. It rained 6 out of the 7 days we were there. But the one day of sun was nice, and a few of the days were on and off sun, so we sat outside for most of the day and in the evening came inside. We had great food, and great fun. We even swam in the evening when it was cold, but the water was really warm and nice.

Yesterday I went to Ontario place with my family, and it was so fun! It was a hot day so we went on rides and visited exhibits, then went to the water park, and then on more rides and to more exhibits. We ate lunch at a yummy restaurant there, and enjoyed the scene of the Toronto harbors. It was an absolutely beautiful, and fun-filled day.

Can't wait for what's to come this summer!

Summer Update Number 1

My summer's been going great so far! The first week went by slowly, which is good in the summer. Just a mixture of day trips and random crafts. Surprisingly, I haven't spent 6,000 hours on the computer everyday. The first weekend my family and I went camping. It was so fun! Nature, campfire, s'mores, marshmallows and hot dogs, and sleeping on the rough, rocky ground with noly 6 hours of sleep...okay that part wasn't that great. Overall, though, camping was awesome. I also went to the church picnic, went for a couple bike rides, and more so far this summer.

Can't wait for the rest of this summer!

School's Out!

What a day! School is finally over, and I no longer feel stressed about upcoming tests, overdue projects, friends fighting, or my hot classroom. I can spend my lazy summer days however I want. Of course there will be chores and cleaning to be done and stuff, but I will mostly be free. It's been a crazy year of ups and downs, tears and laughter, and both exciting and disappointing events. School was...well, interesting. I am ecstatic for the summer to begin! Late night movie rentals, popcorn in the morning, camping, staying up til 11:00, BBQs. I love the summer. And this August I will be going to summer camp, as well as at some point this summer I will be going to a cottage with my family. I am so pumped and excited I can't even explain it!

I will try to update regularly.

Changes. And Youth Group.

Saturday was a day of changes. To start the day off, I headed for the school to clean up the front yard. We pulled the weeds, and moved two of the planters to the back. It was a lot of fun and our school's front yard looks a lot more clean. We even cleaned up a lot of the garbage that was lying around out there. When I was done I went home to clean my own room. Soon after that me, my mom, and a bunch of our friends got our hair cut. Mine is really short and I got bangs. It looks pretty rad. After that I went home for an hour and then out to a youth group event. It was fun and we ate spaghetti! I had a great day. Today I'm going to a wedding shower and tomorrow school. Can't wait!

I just finished reading my book and it made me very sad at parts and very happy at parts. I've probably read this book several time, and I will read it again, I'm sure. It's called "There's a Boy in The Girls' Bathroom!" by Louis Sachar. Amazing book. You should read it.

So I guess if you are reading my blog, you must want to hear about what's going on in my life right now. Nothing much is happening, but I am excited for the long weekend. I like school and everything, but it's nice to have a break. I've also been hanging out with lots of different people and making new friends. My class at school keeps getting new students.
On Easter weekend I am hoping to see some family, I might get to see my cousin/best friend (that's right I'm talking about you, Emily!) and maybe some grandparents or something. Sounds fun, I know. March Break was pretty much boring for me. I saw some movies... recently I saw Alice in Wonderland, it was really good.

This Has Been A Fast Year

I am officially 11 years, 6 months, and 3 days old!

Christmas is coming and I can't believe how fast this year has gone. I mean WOA. There I am counting down:

10...9...8...7...6...5...4...3...2...1....HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

Next thing I know, everyone's huddled around me singing "Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Sam! Happy birthday to you!" And then school is over.

I go to sleep and he next day I wake up and it's time to go Christmas shopping!

What a year it's been, too! can't even begin to believe the fun I've had. I am acting very optimistic towards what 2010 will bring.

Wow, 2010. I have to get used to saying and writing and typing that. This is crazy!

A Walk Down Memory Lane

I know, I know, that was a cheesy title. But truly, that is what I did recently. I read my blogs, journals, notebooks, and everything I could find. I read the oldest entries to the newest. It was pretty crazy reading how I thought, spoke, and acted when I was younger. Did you know my frist entry on this very blog was when I was just 6 or 7 years old? 2005 was my first entry. I think it was in March. Pretty crazy, right? I was my little brother's age now! I have come along way and changed in many ways. But, guess what? I am still the same Sam! I am the same Sam I was 4 years ago. And that, my friends, will never change (I hope!).

OK, so you know how about 1 post ago, I decided to make a list of things I should do over the summer. Well, I have accomplished 2 of those things.

Make at least one new friend

When I went to Ontario Pioneer Camp for a week, I made friends with a couple of girls in my cabin. As you all know, I am not the greatest at making friends. 2 of the 4 girls didn't like me. Actually, not a lot of the girls (I was a Girls' Camp) did. The leaders, though, did (of course, ha ha!). Anyway, 2 of the girls, Molly-Anne and Ashley, became my friends. Ashley especially. And, guess what! Ashley lives in Hamilton! She goes to Dalewood Middle School, she's going into grade 7. So she's one year older than me. But she is super nice, sporty, girly, and smart. Molly-Anne (Molly for short) was a tomboy. She was pretty nice, too.

2. Visit with an old friend

Our friends Janice and Jen are my dads childhood friends and we still visit with them and stuff. So they came to our house a couple weeks ago and we basically hung out and had fun!

June 10th was my brother, Lucas', B-day. He turned 9. This post is devoted to him on his birthday!

Lucas is an amazing kid. He is constantly giving. He wants to help so many people and do so many things. He is always reaching out to give a hand. He goes out of his way to be kind. He is kind-hearted and open-minded. He loves everyone around him. He is a ball of joy. Although he has only just turned 9, I feel like his older, more mature. His smile can light up an entire room. I hope that on his special day, he was filled with joy by everyone around him instead of filling everyone around him with joy by himself.

March Break-ing news

March Break's been going good...I haven't done a WHOLE lot. Yesterday dad took me, Luke, and Jake out to do some of his errands. It turned out being pretty fun, we went to the food court for lunch and got a car wash after going to the mall ( and checking out Old Navy ). It was fun and for dessert after supper that night we had leftover ice cream from my dad's birthday. It was an awesome day! I am also REALLY excited because I am going to my friend Hannah's house for a sleepover tonight!

Yesterday at school kids were bugging me again. I mean the fact that I have a very little amount of friends bugs me! But I do HAVE friends, and that's good. My BEST friend is Sarah from school.
In other news, at school I keep writing "2008" on all my work instead of "2009". It is SO annoying! I will be turning 11 this year...in September I will be in GRADE SIX!!! Middle school...yikes!
Hasn't this school year been going by so fast? I think so, at least. Dude, it seems like just yesterday it was September 7 and I was heading out to school! Jeez!

So recently, I've gone back to school. I am loving life right now, let me tell ya! You see, at the end of last year, I was like SO nervous!!!! This was because, I was told that I was getting a guy teacher. Not only that, but he was new to the school, so I knew nothing about him! I seriously was very scared!!!! But when I got to class on Tuesday, boy did I get a surprise! You see, i got a girl teacher, and the best part is, she was my STUDENT teacher last year! So I know her. She is really young, and hip, and cool and funny!
A lot of people have asked me if I have many of my friends in my class...and the answer is no. That is the disappointing part. I only have like 2. And even they are not like my BEST, BEST friends. So you know, it kinda sucks. But...I do play with my best friends on the playground at recess, and call them like everyday!!!!

SORRY HAVEN'T BEEN POSTING!!!! You see, this summer has been SO busy for me! I have done all the things I had talked about in my last post. I have gone to camp. That was REALLY fun. Lucas and Jacob came with me and I was afraid that Jake would be scared, but he ended up crying when my parents picked us up...because he didn't want to leave! Crazy, hunh? I also went to the cottage and that was really fun because the cottage was beautiful. It was a two bedroom and the couch folded out into a bed. The backyard had a hammock! And there were steps going down to the lake. We took Bear swimming a couple of times and it was so cute! We'd throw her in and she'd paddle with her little arms and be soaked when she came out!
I also have gone on the FRWY camping trip. My Auntie Alli, Uncle Hudson, Cousin Claire, Daniel, and Samuel, came with us. It was a blast! And then I went with my cousins and aunt and uncle to my Grammy's house for her 80th birrthday party, that was really fun too. At the party, Daniel and I were on punch duty and we had to serve punch to people everyone loved it! We filled the punch bowl 4 times!

I have started watching the Olympics and the are so cool. I like Christine Sinclair, women's soccer, and Deon Myers from womens baseball.

I am sad and excited that school is coming soon. :( :)

It is finally summer! How are all y'all? This summer I have loads of fun trips and adventures planned for my family and I. On the 6th of July I am going to Pioneer Camp for a week with my brothers. We are going to the Adventure Camp there. Right from summer camp, my parents and friend Melissa will pick us up and bring us strait to a cottage. The cottage we will be going to is, I think, somewhere near Bracebridge. Eventually, we will go on the FRWY camping trip.
Ding dong bring! The ice cream truck has been showing up a lot this year. My mom says sometime this weekend we can try to catch it, but that hasn't turned out yet. Come ice cream truck, come!!!!

So on Sunday the 15th, my brother Lucas and I each brought our four friends (actually, only three of Luke's could come) to Chuck E Cheese for or birthday party. If you don't know what Chuck E. Cheese is, it's a big arcade/pizza restaurant. There are many games and small rides in the indoor place. They sell really yummy pizza there, too. But it's mostly an arcade. My favourite games were the gambling-type games. Every game is one token (a token is like a fake coin) and when you finish the game, you get rewarded with tickets. In the gambling games depending on the number or amount of points you land on, you will get that many tickets. The have ski ball too. You get points in ski ball if you get 1000 points, one ticket 2000 2 tickets etc., etc. I also liked the roller coaster game. You sit on these things that look like seats on a roller coaster and you choose what level you want and each setting is always scary. They have a little kids section and a big kids section. For smaller kids, they have Chuck E. and his friends do "concerts". Chuck E. Cheese ( a guy dressed up in a costume) was actually there! He's a mouse. I said hi, and hugged him! I had loads of fun!!!!!

Birhtday Barnacles

Hey friends,

Today is my brother Luke's birthday. Tomorrow is mine. "Are you twins?" some people ask us. Well, the answer is no. Lucas is 8 (starting today) and I am 10 (starting tomorrow), so we are 2 whole years, minus a day, apart! Our birthdays are stuck together like glue, and not those craft glue sticks you use at school, but the hard hot gun glue used to really make things stick. Having my little bro' s birthday so close to mine, has pros and cons.

CONS

I don't get a birthday eve.
We often SHARE parties, and I don't LIKE sharing when i don't have to.
I am not really allowed to rave about my birthday 'till it's actually there.

PROS

Sometimes I have my party on his birth-DAY.

But, what the heck, "It ain't gonna hurt a fly," as I would say!

Anyway, my brothers and I are VERY excited because for all 3 of our birthdays we got a Nintendo Wii! (It is ONE for all of us to share). I am excited! Did I already say that? As we speak, my Dad is putting it together (my Mom's working late tonight). We have "Dance, Dance Revolution", "Wii Sports", a bunch of Wii arcade games, and MORE!!!! Wii are going to play with our Wii soon! Ha! Get it?

A New Appetite (And A Trip)

Lately, I've been eating lots of foods that I haven't eaten in a while.

1. Sphagetti

2. Ceaser salad (premixed)

3. Sloppy Joes ( A.K.A. Mamwitches)

4. Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

6. And much, much more!!!!

On Friday the Gr. 4 and 5 classes went on a year-end trip at school. It was loads of fun! We went to Cave Springs Camp. We all met our three councilors: Mel (Melissa), John, and Alex. We rolled down a hill and played on a play structure for a while. then we got separated into three groups. A councilor would take us to a game. First for my group was The Teeter-Totter. We had to go on this massive teeter-totter (sea-saw) and we had to balance it out using our weight. The trick was that only one person could move at a time. We had to keep it steady and eve for 5-10 seconds. John was the councilor for that activity.
John took us to Alex, then. We went into the forest with Alex. We had to hunt for salamanders and/or frogs. It wasn't weather for frog-hunting. This activity was called The Salamander Hunt. After we found one, we had to makeit a habitat in a bucket. We ould name it if we wanted to, as well. I named mine Sal.
Alex then took us to Mel. We did Orieenting. We had a map of camp and we had this sheet the had squares with diagonal lines through them. We had to use the black X's on our map to find tiles. They were hiding in random places and we had to draw their picture on our sheet. Bonus points were given if me could find the tiles with Mel's initials on them.
We then had lunch and did rolling down the hill and play structure.
The best part of the trip was our hike. It was crazy! We went through rock paths, flower feilds, bushes, streams, and more. We went to this rock cliff that had rock stairs leading down it. They were not man made either. Mel told us a legend about how the stairs got their name. That was really neat! We went down the stairs and talked about the different types of rock that it was made of. We went up the stairs and kept hiking. We then came to a forest up a really steep hill and we all sat on logs. (By th way, we were all together now and not in three groups). We got split into three groups. Mel took one group and we played Deer Hunt. This is where she stands in one spot and closes her eyes while we all go hide. She opens them and whoever she can see from there, is out. Alex and John then took us to a cave. it was neat. They told us about how during World War II, a German who was not against anyone, moved to a afrm and started a buisness. People thought he was a spy so they ran to get him. He hid in the forest. There was a cave/tunnel that he stayed in and we got to go inside of it! That was by far the best hike ever! We hiked back an d loaded the buses. What an amazing trip!

Grammy's House

On the last weekend of April, I went to my Grandmother's house...

I call her Grammy because that's what my mom called her Grandmother.

Anyway, so I was at my "Grammy's" house. It was fun, it was just my Grammy, Mom, Lucas, and Jacob. My dad had to go speak elsewhere. We played outside a lot since Grammy lives by a forest. We went hiking too. We rode our scooters and did chalk drawing, but since we had a rain storm, the chalk drawings washed away. :( My Grammy lives in the U.S. so the drive up (including our supper stop) took 5 hours. It was prettty boring. She lives in Ithaca, New York. We left on Friday after school and got there ruffly about 9:30 pm. My Grammy has boxes full of toys, ones that we gave her and ones from when my mom and Auntie Alli were little.

So as you can see, I had fun!

Old Friends

Yo dudes and dudettes! So I've recently reunited and said good bye too many old friends of mine! Flat Claire (from the previous post) is being sent off. I received an email from my camp councilor!

I miss Flat Claire a whole lot, we had a lot of fun with that little piece of paper!
We went on oh so many adventurous adventures. Believe me, paper is not always what it seems...

My camp councilor is well and it was nice to hear from her and get in touch once again...

I got my haircut...this has do with old friends because I had to say good bye to some hair, an old friend. I got my hair layered it is really cute! Soon I will post some pics so stay tuned...

Sorry!!!! :( You see, I couldn't blog for a while cause I was super busy lately! I know, I know, excuses, excuses! What can I say! I'm a busy almost-ten-year-old-who's-mom-says-she's-not-allowed-to-turn-ten.

So here's news:

For a while in Feb. I had Strep throat and was on medication. But now I'm feeling much better! Flat Claire is visiting me. my cousin in Halifax, Claire, did a project at school on a book called Flat Stanley about a boy named Stanley, who while sleeping was flattened by a bulletin board and was sent in an envelope and sent back to see a friend in California. So Claire sent me Flat Claire and and now I take pictures of me doing stuff with her and then write a report about the stuff we did and send her back! It is a lot of fun! March Break is great! I went to Dundern Castle for the first time! it was amazingly fun! I loved it! I went to the library to! and spent time with friends and even had a sleepover with a friend!!!!

Ski Trip

HER FUR

She has such cute little black and silver fur! I love it! It is so shaggy and soft too. I could hold on to her forever!

Her eyes are black and sparkly! I just wish that dogs could see in colour! She has super bushy eyebrows and I love to just stare at her!

She has a bunch of hair on her chin! It looks like she has a little beard! And she does!

Don't I look Fantastico? NOT!!! I Have a HUGE butt! Today my liitle brothers were dressing up and asked if I wanted to as well! I said sure and now look what a mess I am! All I did was put a wizard gown on and put a pillow in my pants and a pillow on my belly I put 2 rubber balls above the pillow and put a belt underneath the belly to hold it in place, also I wore a frilly purse! I put a HUGE pony tail in and my hair and made it into a bun then tied a purple glove over top and added a flower clip! I kept talking in an accent and I think my family started to get annoyed! I had a lot of fun! Until next time...dun dun duh!

Dentist Apointment and Teacher Stories

I'm going to start a new thing called "Teacher Stories". My teacher is hilarious and I want to tell you the funny things she says sometimes.
So as most of you know, about a month ago, I got my molar tooth pulled out. It hurt! I had cracked it into THREE pieces! I had to get a spacer today. I was at school in the morning and then was taken out at lunch and went back at last period. My mom talked to my teacher on the playground at the beginning of school today, to tell her about the appointment, she also wrote a note in my agenda in case they didn't get to talk on the playground. My teacher came to my desk, like every morning to check my agenda and saw the note:

Teacher: Yeah, I talked to your mom this morning.
Me: Good.
Teacher (reading the note): Yeah, she doesn't like you...She's taking you out of school at lunch...She won't bring you back if she doesn't like you...Got it.
Me (laughing): Ha ha! Did you talk to her on the playground?
Teacher: Yeah, we looked at embarrassing pictures and made fun of you...
Me: Where did you get embarrassing pictures of me?
Teacher: It's like taking pictures of a tree, it's easy!
Me: But you've never had a camera in this classroom before!
Teacher: My nose is a camera!
Me: Where's the flash button? HUNH?
Teacher: Ok, ok, you got me, I wasn't showing pictures of you to your mom!
ME: I knew it! HA!

Hey people,

Haven't updated this baby lately and I figured after a month it was about time.
So all is healthy and well, I got my eyes checked yesterday (Friday) and turns out that I have perfect vision and at 9 years old already, I may not have to ever get glasses! Life is good! here's a couple things I'd like to tell y'all :

CHRISTMAS

Christmas is coming soon and I am very excited. Not just for the presents and for Santa, but for the spirit of Christmas. The songs and plays and shopping! All that stuff.

HALLOWEEN

For Halloween this year I was Nancy Drew, girl detective, and I got LOTS of candy. I also got to have a Halloween parade at school! We wore are costumes and marched around the school, and neighborhood.

SLEEPOVER

I slept over at my Auntie's house and we went shopping at the mall last weekend! Lots of fun!

Hey peoples!

i just did alot of camping! (as you see from the title above)! Of course, First I went camping for 2 weeks in a trailer with the fam and Melissa,Then it's home for a break...I went to SUMMER CAMP!!!! Witch of course was awesome I went where Jordon and Jill work and had loads of fun! The off to a FRWY camping trip to sum it all up!

At Summer Camp instead of real camp fire we had skits and songs done for us by the counselors!
We had morning and afternoon electives, Mine Landsports and Outdoor Adventure! We also had games and scavenger hunt, races, and relays! Once our counselors were abducted by aliens!

Well, a lot has gone on since my last post! First, there's open house, a day where my parents go to go to my school, see my classroom, and see the wok I've done! Then, there's EQAO that is coming soon (to a theatre near you!), EQAO is a big test that you do in grade six and grade three. It tests you for your report card and wether or not you've learned alot this year. Also, soon I am having my birthday o June 11th, and my party, June 1st-2nd. Why, might you ask, did I put 2 dates for my birthday...Well it's because I'm having a...a...a...a...SLEEPOVER!!!!! My first sleepovr b-day party ever!!!!!!

Mother's day wish!

I think that Mother's Day is a day to recognize our mothers, for they care for us...and the choices we make. They are a wonderful part of this world around us! Jesus' mother was Mary and she cared for Jesus. God intended for us to have joy and happiness in this world and mothers are a part of that! They want us to love them and others around them. Mothers day I love my mom just as much as you probably do! On mothers day you should make or send something wonderful to your moms. Flowers, a card, but the most important gift, and the most loved gift, is love. A hug or kiss or an "I love you ma" will do! Anything to show that you appreciate your mom.

And so, I dedicate this WONDERFUL post to my mother, Margaret, for loving me, helping me through tough moments! I love you MOM, and all other moms out there, we appreciate YOU!

So a big hug for all moms, aunts, grandmas, and NEW moms! WE LOVE YOU ALL!

Roller Coaster Life!

As a kid, it is tough to live life! So many things around you are going on...you feel like your brain is going to explode! There are some things that you don't understand and some that you do. You learn something new as it is, every new day that comes! And each day is a new opportunity to try or learn something new! Life is like a roller coaster! Things go UP, Up, Up then, DOWN, DOWN, DOWN! It's like going to school 24/7!
You think that the ride is almost up...time for someone else to have a turn...but NOPE! It is still going!

There are some things that scare you, some things that don't. But you have to try not to barf when your roller coaster car goes on the loopty-loop!

Retreat

I just got back from the FRWY retreat about 30 minutes ago. It was so fun! We got to stay up really late, and we did a photo scavenger hunt and the kids program was great! At the kids program: we did crafts and we went for a walk in the snow! ( my dad did the kids program)!

Have you seen what it's like here in Hamilton? We have about I would estimate 25-30 centimetres of snow, and it is climbing up half of our doors and windows! But I guess the snow doesn't care how much snow it let's out of itself, cause it just keeps on snowing!

It must be letting so much out because it's been holding it in for the whole winter and it's got to let it all out to get ready for the spring and summer! It's like when you gotta pee for the longest time and when you finally do, you just gotta let it all out!

Oh and by the way I almost forgot, ***"The weather outside is frightful, the fire is so delightful...Le it snow, let it snow, let it snow!"***

Relaxation

Today, Saturday, Feb. 10th, I have been relaxed and calm. First, my mom went out to visit a friend then it was just my dad, my brothers, and me. We just played and watched T.V.. Next, my mom came home and my brother and dad went to get a movie called: Indiana Jones, we watched that for a while then I went to get dressed and here I am now typing this post feeling relaxed.

I haven't posted in a while... and I am soooo sorry!

First of all me and my brother are sick. I'm puking and my brother has it coming out the other end. My dad is under the weather too. Jake is also looking a lttle sick so mom kept us all home from school.

I just did a big test at school called EQAO testing. It was practice testing, it tells my teacher how much she needs to teach before the real testing.

Today is groundhog day. The groundhog did not see his shadow! So spring is just around the corner.

What I find bizarre is that today when I was going to school the door wouldn't open, we were late so we thought we would try the other side, No USE! No cars in the teachers parking lot, so we went home and watched the news. School is closed because of a little precipitation.

Christmas came so fast this year! Some of my favorite things that I got are:

A guitar from my mom and dad (so I can learn how to play)!
a video game were you put your picture on the screen and then you put virtual makeup on yourself!
pillows that feel like they have little grains of sand in them (or as I like to call them: sandy pillows)!

And cabbage patch newborn (named Taniya)!

I liked all the presents that I got so much but if I had to pick my 4 favorites, those would be it!

Christmas was great for me this year: great presents, yummy turkey dinner, but most of all time to focus on the newborn baby Jesus!

It was the last day of school until the holidays today and I had so much fun! First in the morning after attendance and announcements we did a spelling test, then we went down to the gym for carol sing (were all the kids from kindergarten to grade 5 sing Christmas carols in the gym)! After that we had writing, handed out candy-o-grahams ( were people write a note to their friend that also comes with a candy cane)and recess! Then party time! The teacher first opened her presents and then we had some treats and play time! Recess, gym and that was my day, my last day until the holidays in fact!

What more can I say?!? The movie " Charlotte's Web" really rocks! I went to see it in the theaters today for a school field trip! The whole day I didn't have to do any work because: first I went to go see the movie, then I went back to school for recess (and lunch), then I had library and gym, recess again, and silent reading until home time! At 7:00 I will be going to my school Christmas concert, and I will be singing the song "Rockin' around the Christmas tree"! I am so excited!

I am going Christmas shopping soon too! Christmas is my favourite holiday/celebration! I love putting up my Christmas tree and stalkings! In fact my gym teacher from school calls me Christmas tree because I have a green coat and green hat! Sadly I am not putting mistletoe up in my house this year, but we never do so it's not that bad!

Sorry that I haven't been posting lately, but I have been busy writing on my writing blog (that I just finished). I am now going to edit my story and send it to the website.

So here are some new things that are happening soon for me. I have a new school field trip coming up soon, I will be going to the movies to see Charlottes Web the new movie! Also soon on the 14th is my school Christmas Concert! And I have to weeks of on the 22nd of December!
I can't wait for Christmas!

So I did it I made it to TORONTO!!!!!

First I got to see the traditional hoop dancing. Then I played the rattle snake and the hunter and a 3 person tug-of-war. Next I ate lunch and browsed the market place. At the market place I bought a blue key chain with a glass heart at the end! Finally, I got to see a real life PowWow, with all the different native traditional costumes!!!

I had so much FUN!!!!!

So I haven't posted in a while because I've been to busy writing. Anyway tomorrow I am going on a school field trip to Toronto for the Canadian Aboriginal Festival. I am going to have so much fun!!! We have to take 2 city buses. It takes place at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.The Friday that I am going on is only for schools to attend and the weekend is for everyone else!

I am so EXCITED!!! Because on the 19th I might be having a sleepover with my friend from my old school. We don't have school on Monday so I think we will take her to church and then we can stay up late and PARTY!!!!

I am very excited! I talk to her on the phone a lot, but I haven't seen her since I moved. Can't wait!

Today at school we had a remembrance day ceremony and I had to read a poem to the whole school (500 kids). I was a bit nervous but I still did it!

It was funny because I had just made a poem for no reason at home about Remembrance Day
and my teacher said that she loved so much and she wanted me to present it!!!

DENTIST!!!!!!

Scared... I'm going to the dentist in about 20 minutes to get a chip in my tooth filled. They might freeze my mouth. I don't get why they freeze mouth. It's supposed to be so that when you get your cavity filled in it doesn't hurt, but it hurts more to get a needle in your mouth then to get a cavity filled!

But yeah... Wish me luck

So last night my brothers decided that they were going to have a sleep over with just them in it. No friends were coming over for it. And so dad suggested that he would make a fort that they could watch movies in. And surprisingly they decided that they wanted me to sleep over up in there room with them!!!

And so we all got our P.J.'s on and brushed our teeth. While mom put the movie on!

We watched Stuart Little 3 even though I did not want to watch that movie...But it was a good choice after all!!!!!!!!

So from my other post you'll probably know that I lost my tooth. But what you don't know is that I have another one that is really wiggly. And so today I went to wiggle my tooth and I looked in my hand and there it was!!!!!!!!!!!

So as most of you know, I have a very loose tooth. And every Tuesday at school is a hotdog day. So as I was biting my hotdog I felt something weird, so I wiggled my tooth and it had gotten EXTRA LOOSE!!!!!! I was so excited!!! So when I got home that day, while I was eating supper ( my tooth felt weird when I ate) my dad said that if it didn't fall out by bed time, he would pull it out! So when I went upstairs to get my P.J.'s on I pulled it out!!!

The tooth fairy came that night and gave me a shiney tooney...(But she/he didn't take my tooth away from under my pillow)!

And so that's the story of how my tooth fell out!
